Book Publishing in Resistance Spot Welding


           Book publishing is for true knowledge dissemination and not for third-party gains. Hence, I, Nachimani Charde, a Malaysian-Indian, disagreed with publishing through giant publishers and instead published through an ordinary but honest publishing company because the book is expected to last longer for at least 20 copyright years. USD 40,000 was spent on experimental equipments while I wrote this book from start to finish. The content is not just a compilation of journal papers, but rather real experimental extended data with corrected and improved versions. Five mathematical formulas are derived to solve the unknown parts and this will help the engineers to understand the basic concepts in RSW. Also, any pores or voids that existed in the weld nucleus during the welding process were removed with modifications. This technique is the most important to improve the spot welds rather than welding various materials with deficiencies always. To retain the copy rights exclusively, only paperback books (hardcover) are available for now and further series (Book 2, 3, and so on...) will be published with my peers in upcoming years.

Existing Book Chapters in Resistance Spot Welding


           There are several book chapters available in RSW. Some of them are excellent, but others are scattered over online mediums with incomplete, inaccurate, and distorted information. I want to fix it after spent 15 years in RSW, establishing a flow and turn it into a solid module so that it can be taught to graduate level at universities. That is the reason I planned to have book two for the projection welding, a family member of electrical resistance spots welding. Two of my recent book chapters are given below as samples, but copyright sparks even for my own data, so I have to remove certain pages out of it.

           Having completed book one, I am now planning to begin my second book with the following chapters listed below. The open access fee is applicable to each chapter, which is USD 2000 and I am in need of sponsors who can be the primary authors in the chapters while I serve as the secondary author. The primary authors will contribute USD 1500 for each chapter, while I will contribute USD 500 to ensure its successful completion. The book's title is 'Electrical Resistance Spot Welding, Projection Spots Welding,' and co-authors will collaborate with me to complete the chapters. As the principal author cum editor, I will finalize the content but co-authors can decide their names, affiliations, web addresses or emails. Open access fees are nothing new; as you may find similar examples at IntechOpen, where Nobel Laureates have paid their open access fees (USD 1500) for each book chapters they published. Hence, all my co-authors will be treated friendly and equally without any bias because I need book publication to sustain my professorship. Please note that open access fee is necessary to complete the job of collecting experimental data with specific equipment used in book one. The practice of blindly accepting random book chapters without coherence is considered a journal publishing model, not a subject book model. That is why our books are being considered as unique and not available in electronics copy. The co-author registration is completed as we got sufficient sponsors for the book two. Hence, all my co-authors will be treated friendly and equally without any bias. This book is a bit flexible as we accept independent book chapters in Induction Welding. Numerical analysis, simulation, and the experimental chapters will be included, but there will be room to improve it over time, under the name of editions and volumes.
